Harnessing interfacial polarization phenomenon for developing highly sensitive and flexible piezocapacitive soft sensors for human motion monitoring.
Funding Agency: DST under the INSPIRE Faculty program
Funding amount: INR 35 Lakhs
Funding Period: 2025-2030
Project aims and objectives: Under this project, we are developing a new class of nanomaterials doped lattice-based soft piezocapacitive sensors (abbreviation: NDLSPCS) for next-generation wearable devices tailored towards human motion monitoring.
LIG-based Wearable Seismorespirators for emulating clinical respiratory examination.
Funding Agency: Koita Centre for Digital Health at Ashoka
Funding amount: INR 34 Lakhs
Funding Period: 2025-2027
Project aims and objectives: Under this project, we propose to develop Seismorespirators, integrated devices capable of inertial, vibroacoustic and stretch sensing to replicate the clinical aspects of respiratory examination. We have developed novel laser-induced graphene (LIG) based soft and stretchable sensors for breath monitoring, which form one of the core components of this work.
As a new P.I., I am constantly looking for new candidates. Currently, I have the following opportunities in my lab:
Junior Research Fellow/Research Assistant: For this position, I am seeking an individual with a knack for wearables and sensors to join as a JRF/Research Assistant in my lab at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, Delhi-NCR. I am highly motivated to work with a JRF in exploring auxetic structures-based 3D printed sensors for wearable healthcare applications. This is a DST-funded project, and the goal of the project is to develop a new class of nanomaterials doped lattice-based soft piezocapacitive sensors for next-generation wearable devices tailored towards human motion monitoring.
Funded PhD positions (2): I am actively looking for two candidates with a knack for flexible electronics, wearables and 3D-printed sensors to join my lab at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University Delhi-NCR. I have two fully funded PhD positions and a temporary Research Assistant position. For the PhD position, the selected candidate would be primarily working in the emerging areas of wearable electronics exploring 3D-printed sensors for wearable healthcare applications. For the research assistant position, the candidate will be involved in exploring the emerging areas of 3D-printed next-generation Organ-on-a-chip (OoC) technology for disease modelling.
Postdocs: I have two funded postdoc positions currently. People with a background in MEMS and Flexible electronics can contact us for further details on the role.
Research Assistant with a possibility for PhD enrolment: The successful candidate will join us in an ongoing international collaborative research project on the Brain-on-a-chip theme. Upon successful evaluation at the end of 6 months, there is a possibility of a fully funded PhD position (subject to the university's PhD admission process). Interested/eligible candidates are encouraged to apply by filling up their details in the application link (https://forms.gle/z34nHxWo5Rgeanrq7 ) and uploading their latest resume along with a cover letter explicitly stating their suitability and motivation for the advertised position. Interested candidates are required to apply for the position using the following link: https://snu.edu.in/careers/staff/applications-are-invited-for-a-temporary-position-of-research-assistant/
The scanned copies of all the required documents must be uploaded in the Google form: https://lnkd.in/eK6AVvse on or before 31st December 2024. Incomplete applications and applications without the above-mentioned documents will be rejected. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed by email for online interview.
